Ms. Stevaneia Yacob is a new teacher at Hoover High School and teaching in general. In fact, she has been teaching for only two years, but despite that she is an amazing teacher and a well loved teacher who adores her students as well.
Ms. Yacob is truly inspiring, despite her personal difficult experiences from coming from a different country to the United States. She wanted to become a teacher because when she arrived in the U.S., she saw the respect and care teachers gave towards her while she was new. That inspiration from those teachers allowed her to become the caring teacher she is and shows this to her students with patience, respect and understanding.
“Once I see their faces,” expressed Ms. Yacob. “It gives me so much inspiration.”
She acknowledges that even after a difficult day, seeing her students brightens up her day and allows her to keep moving forward despite anything that may happen. Her love for Chemistry came from her teacher recommending courses to take and she decided to take the hardest one, and she turned out to love it. Chemistry is part of who she is, and she enjoys teaching it to her lovely students.
Ms. Yacob’s love for Hoover is so strong as she adores the culture, diversity, and students that are on the campus.
