This week’s Athlete of the Week is 15-year-old sophomore, Evelyn Arce.  Evelyn has been playing tennis for two years. She is committed to every game and practice.  She is always helping and encouraging her teammates.  In addition to playing singles, she also plays doubles with senior Diana Santos.  She has improved the most this season and will be even stronger in the coming years.  She is also a sprinter on the Hoover track team.

Evelyn is in the Academy of Health and Healthy Communities, and holds a 4.0 GPA.  She finds inspiration from her mom because she is a strong person.  She loves to eat pasta and likes to dance too.
