Myesha Frank is a 17-year-old senior in the ALMA academy at Hoover High School.
Her favorite thing about Hoover is the sports program and how many activities are offered around campus. She also loves the sense of the community in Hoover. Her favorite class is culinary arts because it’s challenging and she likes getting to eat the food after making it.
Myesha currently plays three sports: basketball, flag football, and track. Her favorite memories while playing basketball are the first time she scored 21 points, and the first time they won a game. While playing three sports, she tries her best to get good grades and manage her time because she also has a job. She handles all her responsibilities by trying to maintain a positive attitude.
After graduating, Myesha plans on going to a four year university, with her dream school being UCLA. She wants to become a nurse and work with babies and younger children. She knows it’s going to be hard but she feels determined and is not going to give up. In the future she wants to travel to see different cultures, try new food, and meet new people.
Myesha really values the time she gets to spend with her friends and teammates, especially because it’s her last year of school and she wants to make as many memories as possible. Although she really enjoys playing basketball she doesn’t believe she will continue it professionally because of the stress and typical short career.
