Jasmin Gallegos, Staff Writer

Jasmin Gallegos was born in April 2007 to her Mexican parents who immigrated to San Diego, California- which is where she was raised. She is currently 15 years old and a sophomore atn Hoover High School. As a child, her parents always encouraged her to value education and think logically. They taught her to not worry about hypotheticals and focus on the present and what is happening around her-that everything happens for a reason. This always stuck with her and to this day, she tries to ignore the what ifs of the future and thinks instead on the present.

She has a sister who is currently an RN nurse at Scripps Mercy Hospital. Her sister has always been her biggest role model although Jasmin plans to follow a different career path. She aspires to be a teacher although she has still not decided whether to become an elementary or high school teacher. Growing up her sister always had perfect grades and enjoyed school. Jasmin hopes to follow in her footsteps and eventually graduate in white. In the meantime, she enjoys writing and thinking creatively. Jasmin is also a social person who enjoys being around others, she likes talking to most people. She usually keeps to herself but gets more energetic as she gets more comfortable. Overall, Jasmin is a passionate person who is excited to be on the yearbook staff.
