Hezekiah Manuel is a 16 year old sophomore at Hoover High School who plays for the varsity football team.
This is Hezekiah’s second year playing for the Hoover varsity football team, and although he’s been playing since he was younger, he has made great improvements along the way. Hezekiah is one of the reasons we are currently 2-0 in the season. He has accounted for eight touchdowns between running and throwing with no interceptions also while maintaining a 3.6 GPA. What keeps Hezekiah going is his family who inspires him every day and pushes him each day to become a better player and one of the reasons he is the great player he is today. Hezekiah looks up to his family because of how much they made him love the sport.
Outside of Hoover, Hezekiah has hobbies that include playing video games such as Call of Duty, and Fortnite. Hanging out with his friends which is important to him because it helps get his mind off the stress he has with football. Taking a walk through the park is another way to help relieve stress. Another thing he enjoys doing is working out after a long school day to help maintain his athleticism. He doesn’t have specific music tastes but is willing to hear out any music recommendations.
One of his quotes is “Keep on going even if you feel like giving up.”
