Hoover’s 2017 yearbook, Roots & Wings, took home a first place ribbon at the San Diego County Fair at Del Mar. Under the direction of Class of 2017 alumni, Denise Becerra, several yearbook spreads took home second place ribbons as well.

The Cardinal news website also took home a first place ribbon. The site was under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Lisbeth Urias, Class of 2017. This year, the new editor is Sofonyas Shibre and the yearbook editor is Annie Tran.
