Fernanda is a junior at Hoover High School and was born in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico.
When she was around five or six years old, her parents decided to move her to San Diego so she could have better opportunities in school and learn a new language. She loves where she was born and goes to Rosarito every weekend. Being there makes her feel freer and happier. Her favorite nickname is Fer, and all her friends call her that.
Fer is usually quiet and shy, but once she opens up, she is very fun, and people often say her kindness really stands out. She loves mangos— whenever there are mangos at home, she ends up eating them all herself. Her favorite dish is the famous Sinaloense dish made by her mom: barbacoa, poblano pepper soup, and frijoles puercos. She dreams of graduating from college and becoming the first person in her family to do so.
She loves her family with all her heart and is very grateful for their constant support and motivation. One of her favorite quotes from her mom is, “Never stop dreaming big because you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to,” and it always motivates her. One of her favorite memories is when her dad used to do her hair for school when she was little. She often went to school with a crooked ponytail, but she was happy because her dad did her hair. She used to dislike K-dramas, but only because she had never given them a chance. After watching her first one, she fell in love and now can’t stop watching them.
Fer has a kind heart and always wants to see others succeed and be happy.
