Nathan Gayosso is hard working senior at Hoover High School who is a part of the AHHC Academy.
Nathan is an intelligent student who loves learning new things because he is a firm believer that knowledge is power. This leads him to strive to do his best academically which is why he has a GPA of 4.5. With these grades, he hopes to take his talents into the competitive field of medicine, ranging from engineering, scientific research, or surgery which are very true to his academy. He is also a part of FACES where he can give back to the community while gaining medical experience for his future. But FACES isn’t the only program he is a part of.
He is the current Vice President of Cesar Chavez Service Club, and in this club, he also gives back to the community by volunteering for events while gaining service hours. Another club he is a part of is First Gen Scholars. He joined in hopes to get into the actual program but also to learn more about the college application process. In addition, another program that he joined to learn about college readiness is Cardinals Interact.
Although Nathan seems to always be working towards his future, he also knows how to enjoy the present. In his free time, he likes to watch tv shows, play video games or read. But the thing he loves doing the most is hanging out with his friends because it allows him to enjoy his youth and create memories he will never forget.
One thing that Nathan recommends to all his underclassmen is to not back down from challenges.
“Determination and confidence is key to tackle any unknown situation or obstacle in your way,” state Nathan.
He hopes people who fail pick themselves up quickly and learn from their mistakes.
