Buddhism is founded on the teachings and religion from Siddhartha Gautama, a person who’s known as Buddha.
The learning goes through morality, meditation, and wisdom from Nirvana. The principle is the four noble truths where life involves suffering which is suffering by desire and attachment. Karma, an action that has consequences that influence future life which is cause and effect on your actions such as ignorance. Rebirth, many people in this religion believe that rebirth is the cycle of death and rebirth by karma. Lastly, in Buddhism there’s different schools, traditions, and paths such as Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana.
When I was younger, learning about Buddhism helped me throughout every difficult situation. Even though Buddha isn’t a god, he doesn’t want anyone to worship him but in the end, many did and followed his path because he’s considered the most inspirational person that guides people onto the path of enlightenment or helps the individual towards their path. Buddha may not be alive now, or an ideal god, but his ideas and teachings continue on for Buddhism till this day. There are monks who take Buddha spiritual pathways to follow and use his guidance. Monks can be both genders (male and female) that have to take vows, renunciation, goals, and not to worship Buddha. They wear distinctive and symbolic clothing that’s often called robes or habits.
The reason why this religion is peaceful is because it’s the most beautiful, open minded, and generous religion. There’s many different opinions towards Buddhism since there’s different perspectives towards this religion. Not only is it peaceful, the communities and the individuals are always welcoming guests to their religion. Nobody in the religion judges the persons of their past but respecting the person for who they are.
This is one quote that I like, “Nothing can harm you as much as your own thoughts unguarded.”
