Money is very vital in today’s society. I always hear the saying that “money can buy happiness,” and I completely agree with it. Obviously, there are things that money can’t buy, but the majority of things can be bought.
For me, the thought of being able to build a sanctuary for animals in need makes me extremely happy. Being able to take care of my parents’ expenses and retiring them would bring me so much satisfaction and joy. In the future, I want to purchase my parents’ dream home. Having the ability to lift burdens off other people would make me ecstatic. For me to be able to do any of this, I would need money.
I feel like the reason why many value money so much, me included, is because it doesn’t make you feel limited. Money can unlock so many doors. As a high school student wanting to pursue higher education, money is needed to afford the tuition. Depending on the institution, the tuition varies; some are more realistic, while others may leave you in debt for years, depending on how much money you have. I would love to be able to attend my dream university without having to worry about the expenses. Without having to worry about money and how to pay the tuition, I could dedicate my time to studying and living care-free instead of having to look for a job.
Although there are tons of positives to having lots of money, there are many cons too. Having too much money makes you susceptible to being used. Money cannot buy trust. You can also just distance yourself from others, as you believe they will definitely use you. You can become too preoccupied with money, believing that you can never have enough, and become greedy.
Having money provides you with more freedom and fewer restrictions. Overall, it can improve your physical well-being. The positive aspects of being wealthy outweigh the negatives, at least for me.
