Values are a personal importance to me as it gives the ability to determine what type of person you are and how you are represented to those around you.
Although there are many different values you can have, the most important ones that I can reflect on are freedom, respect and loyalty. Freedom is a value that matters to me because it values the independence and autonomy that I have; to me it’s important to be independent and not depend on others because when you are, it doesn’t allow you to grow as your own person and flourish as an individual. Secondly, respect is important to me and it should be to others, because it allows you to treat others with dignity and fairness, everyone deserves respect and it’s a basic human right for everyone! Without respect, you’ll be seen as a rude individual and someone who shows no kindness to others, and that’s not how I want to be seen. Thirdly, loyalty is the most important to me because being faithful and devoted to the people I love and to the values I obtain is necessary to me. When it comes to my friends, family and partner, loyalty is important to show because I would never be disloyal to them.
A common value for people will tend to be the significance towards family, respect, compassion, security, and integrity; these are what represent individuals and their beliefs to being a good person! It’s important to have values because it is what helps you to have a certain goal set and mindset that guides you to make prospering actions. Values are also a way to connect with your culture and relationships by building a foundation that will improve future connections. These goals are important to have since it determines you to be able to separate the good and bad when having to choose between things that happen in your life and it just gives you a fulfilling feeling when you do the right thing.
It’s important for everyone to have values because it allows you to have beliefs that represent who you are, but it also lets you be a good person so others can see the type of person you truly are.
