Aileen Velasco, Staff Writer
Aileen Velasco is a sophomore at Hoover High. She receives good grades although she is a big procrastinator. Never ask her for math help because she will not understand a thing. She wishes to graduate in white. Currently she is involved in the Garden Club and recently joined track. She does not understand why she joined track as she runs extremely slow, but she likes to challenge herself and gain new experiences.
She’s the oldest of six loud siblings. They may annoy her but deep down she truly cares for them. People that really inspire her are her mom, uncle, and friends.
She loves tacos, more than normal. She enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and watching shows. At first she may seem shy but she’s just waiting for someone to talk to her first. She may have a serious face but in reality she’s just in a nervous state and will happily talk to anyone. She really likes looking at the sky, being in a warm blanket, the ocean (but not getting in) and taking pictures of anything that catches her eye. On the weekends you’ll usually find her sleeping in and starting her day in the afternoon. On more productive days you’ll see her cleaning, trying to cook, shopping or reading a book. She is an open minded, stubborn person. This will usually cause her to get into arguments with her mom as she is tenacious.
