Cesar Eugenio is a 16-year-old sophomore in the AHHC academy, and a cross country runner at Hoover High School.
Cesar has only been running this year and has already won a gold medal for his race at a cross country invitational last weekend. He feels accomplished for winning a medal on his first race and is very happy with himself. Cesar says what encouraged him to get into cross country was his friend Bobby. Sports was something that had never come to his mind until his friend gave him that encouragement. He says his friends on the track team are what keep him going. Prior to his accomplishment he had been practicing with his team for two weeks.
Besides his sports life, Cesar enjoys skateboarding. He says skateboarding is peaceful to him and helps get some cardio after a workout because it helps him cool down. Working out is something that he also likes to do because it helps him relax. Relaxation is something he takes priority in because he thinks after a long practice it is important to ease your mind. While he’s relaxing, he likes to listen to music because it keeps him motivated. He is into all types of music and is always willing to listen to songs people recommend to him.
Cesar recommends cross country to those who are strong minded and are willing to give it their all. He thinks this quote, “one day or day one” might be important to many people.
