This has given the opportunity for many people to open up and express themselves without feeling judged. Through the app many people have built a career as an influencer and have gained recognition for their hard work.

TikTok has also been known for providing people with information and educating them about important things. For example, when everything began this year about immigration, TikTok was a great source that provided information of where raids were going to take place. It also showed that our community was not alone, people would post videos supporting protests supporting immigrants. Not only did the app give awareness it also provided users with practical skills like cooking recipes. My sister always said that she got her best cooking recipes just off TikTok and watching peoples one minute videos.

When TikTok was supposedly getting banned many people were affected because TikTok is very important to them. I was even upset because TikTok is a place where I go whenever I’m feeling bored and just need a laugh. Some of the videos are really funny and help me forget about my day.

The reason why people like TikTok so much is because of the algorithm of the app. It ensures that the videos that come up on your page are exactly to your liking which is why it’s so addictive and enjoyable. I personally really like TikTok because it allows you to connect with people and shows you how much others actually relate to you. It also keeps you entertained.
