From the same artistic mind that gave the world A Silent Voice, To Your Eternity, is a hauntingly gorgeous odyssey filled with melancholy yet catharsis.
At the center of this narrative is a boy named Fushi, an immortal being who begins his life without any sense of self or identity. As the boy wanders through the world and meets new people, his journey slowly begins to unfold into something much more complex than that of his own self-discovery, but that of a more profound philosophical meditation of what it truly means to exist. This philosophy is woven across its face; a quality that reminds us of what makes the human characteristic unique: the bonds that forge the feelings we individually show and our way of thinking.
Not only does it do that, but it’s a philosophical journey that explores themes of life, loss, love and death. It gives you an insight into the mind of someone who lives with the curse of immortality, the emotional change in someone who has seen loved ones perish over and over again.
Words can’t justify the feelings one might go through with this somber tale, which is the main reason as to why I would recommend this show, however keep in mind that this is one of those shows that will change your perception of how you think of life. The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll or Amazon Prime.
