Anette Hernandez Diaz is a 17-year-old senior in High school. She will be graduating with the class of 2021. She was born on February 18, in San Diego, California. She attended Monroe Clark Middle School. She is someone who identifies as a Mexican-Dominican female. She looks up to her strong mother who came from Guerrero, Mexico. Her father is from the Dominican Republic, however he was not in her life growing up. Her decision to take publication was because she believes in the importance of keeping tradition alive. Publications helps capture memories that will live for future generations to come. She wants to be a part of that team. She cares solely about having memories she can look back at when her grandchildren ask her about what the experience was like during this time period. She thinks people refuse to wear masks, because it’s uncomfortable when completing daily tasks especially in hot weather. She believes we can be safer during this pandemic with social distancing and staying sanitized as much as we can.
