The Marias is a pop band formed in 2016 in Los Angeles, California. With lead singer Maria Zardoya, drummer Josh Conway, Jesse Perlman, Edward James, and their friends, who later joined and helped write music.
Lead singer Maria is Puerto Rican, and because of this, she creates bilingual music. Their band creates jazz and funk music, allowing the young generation to express themselves with their background culture.
The band would write songs for films or television, and then later on, released on Superclean volumes 1 and 2. This gave them a boost to start touring and attending festival spots. The Marias have worked so hard and achieved so many accomplishments. For instance, their top hit was “No One Notice,” which they performed at the 2026 Grammy Awards. That alone brought significant attention to their music, and their fans have grown since.
In my opinion, people have heard one song from them at least once, and not know it.because. They have become that popular and have impacted many lives through their music alone. They have created music that makes people feel seen, loved and relatable. It gives young people motivation and care for themselves more because of how much love and dedication the band has to make music from their souls.
Their music has given Mexican culture hope in attending music award shows, and making their dreams a reality. I personally love their music because of its aesthetic, and I feel every word they say when I hear their music. I listen to them at least three hours a day, and it gives me a sense of wonder in my life. My soul literally craves their music because of how good it is. Like “Basta Ya,” that’s personally my top 1 favorite song from The Marias.
