Music is a great way to calm yourself down and relax after a long, exhausting day, making you forget all your worries. After a rough day all you need is a good way to cope with your problems, and music being one of them.
As a 17 year old girl in today’s society, life can be hard and I know almost every teenager can agree with this. But, I never let negativity get to me and instead I find ways to lift my spirits, listening to my favorite songs changes my mood and my personal well-being for the better. Depending on the vibe or how I’m feeling I either like to listen to calming music or I’ll listen to more up-beat vibe songs if I need more motivation or a confidence boost. We as humans, especially young teens should value our mental health and make sure we stay in check. Music is a way to let go of our stress and anxiety, letting us express ourselves without needing words. It’s almost as if music can understand you when others simply can’t or struggle to comprehend.
Additionally, music is a powerful way to bring groups of people together, especially during parties or big events. When we hear music playing it automatically makes us feel happier and makes our problems feel less important. Music can connect people with all different kinds of backgrounds during concerts or festivals, embracing everyone’s background and building relationships with one another. Essentially, connecting one another with the help of music even if you don’t know the other person personally. Therefore, proving my belief that music is a meaningful topic to not only me but many people throughout society because it provides a sense of peace, serenity, and the ability to express yourself.
We are always surrounded by music whether we notice it or not, it is something that shapes our identity, personality, and emotions.
