Arafa Abdallah is a sophomore in the AHHC academy at Hoover High School who has been determined on giving it her all on the volleyball court.
Arafa has been playing volleyball and beach volleyball since middle school and had carried that passion for five years. With those five years of training she has gained a lot of opportunities and different perspectives of both sports she is able to manage. Volleyball has given her many opportunities to grow as a student and teammate. Playing volleyball allows her to make new friendships and with the help of her couches she’s able to improve her skills on the court which gives her the confidence she needs. With the love and courage her coaches give to the team, it allows everyone a part of the team to feel as if your mistakes are tiny victories.
Outside of school, Arafa is an incredible henna artist with the skills she gathered through her love of art such as painting, skating, and drawing. Hanging out with her friends after school brings her comfort besides volleyball. She enjoys helping out her mother with her siblings after school and on weekends.
Arafa wants everyone to know, “No matter how hard life gets, just know that there’s always people who care about you.”
