Jordan Tran is a senior in the AHHC academy and has shown remarkable work throughout his badminton career.
He has been playing badminton for all four years at Hoover High and has shown himself to be an amazing player. Outside of campus, Jordan continues to practice his badminton skills to better himself in the sport. He was first introduced to sport by his cousin and was hooked from then on wanting to continue to play. The action of the sport was not the only thing that interested him but the community and team were the stand out factors to him. Throughout high school he has built many friendships from badminton and has bonded with his teammates. Jordan says that what he loves most about the sport is the team he had the opportunity to be a part of and the momentum of the tournaments he participated in. One thing to know about Jordan is that his favorite artist is a band called the 1975 and highly recommends them to other students.
As his journey through high school comes to an end, he plans to continue to play badminton and attend San Diego City College. This sport has had a big impact on Jordan’s life by strengthening personal traits like determination and teamwork, he demonstrates the grit and dedication to both extracurriculars and school work that comes with being a cardinal. One quote Jordan has for other students is one that his coach says constantly, “It is all mental.”
