Kay Tieu is a sophomore at Hoover High School and is in ALMA Academy. She was born on December 17, in San Diego, California, and is currently 16 years old. She is Vietnamese-American, and can converse in Vietnamese, but can not read or write in the language).
In her free time, Kay likes to watch Youtube videos, anime, and movies. She also likes to draw traditionally (and plans to color and line art more). She likes to sing and listen to music. She also enjoys playing the violin and would like to learn how to play the piano or guitar (someday). She likes to read but recently, has not found the time to get lost in a good book (-- although she still does occasionally read webtoons, manga, and manhwa). Similarly, she also likes to write outside of class (but has not engaged in it as often as she would like). Furthermore, she enjoys talking to and playing games with her friends. Her favorite subjects at school are English and Math (-- with the first providing her with a creative outlet and the second providing her with fun challenges). She wants to join more clubs (and maybe try a sport) to ensure her time in high school is memorable and rewarding.
Fun facts: Kay can't swim. She can't tolerate spicy food well. And she is often the shortest person in her friend groups.
