Thuan Tran, Staff Writer
Thuan Lai Tran is a 17 year old senior at Hoover High School, and in the SABE Academy as well as taking part in the JROTC. Thuan likes to play guitar, sing, read philosophy, collect vinyl records, and learn languages. He enjoys his favorite movies and tv shows such as Forrest Gump, Psycho, Supernatural, and The Good Doctor. Thuan’s favorite subject is English, mostly because he enjoys doing socratic seminars which gives him a chance to discuss anything. As much as he likes to discuss things with people, Thuan has been trying to become a lot more organized and trying to take risks and opportunities. His involvement with JROTC is to help him exercise his leadership and be able to participate in community service. His long term goal for his future is to go to college to prepare himself for medical school in order to become a critical care specialist or an anesthesiologist, because they are involved with “pain” as a general subject to be mitigated as much as possible since he is intrigued by this specific philosophy. Thuan’s friends describe him as diligent, serious, and a trustworthy person. Thuan is a smart, hard-working student and a proud Cardinal here at Hoover.
